5 peças para microvocalidades (5 Pieces for microvocalities) (2013)

These 5 miniatures (approximately 1 minute each) are taken from a broader compositional process. This process began with the writing of the poem 'Poço B'arthesiano or Onda de Stylo Ga (l) go' (2013), composed from readings on the notion of Écriture from Barthes and Deleuze, as well as about the concepts of minor language and stuttering of the language, in Deleuze and Guattari writings. The poem was fired specifically when I came across the following sentence by Gilles Deleuze: “How to name this line of crest towards which all tongue is intended, modulating?”* This poem gave rise to an electroacoustic piece of the same name, and this later gave rise to '5 Pieces for Microvocalities'.

Flora Holderbaum
(Florianópolis, 1979)

Flora Hoderbaum (Florianópolis, 1979) holds a PhD in Music/Sonology, USP, Brazil. Flora is a violinist, voice-based artist, teacher and composer. She works with creative processes around vocal and instrumental poetics and intersections with experimental and electroacoustic music. She has participated in events as a performer, researcher and composer in Brazil and abroad, such as Monaco Eletroacoustique Festival (2013), FIME (International Festival of Experimental Music - 2016), Festival Música Estranha (2016), RUMOR (2017) and IMPRÔ (2019). She was the organizer of the international conference Sonologia 2019-I/O, together with NuSom -USP . She is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Arts - GAT, Fluminense Federal University - UFF.
