Night Traffic 3 perspectives (2013)

'Night traffic - 3 perspectives' is a process-based composition informed by micro-soundwalks made on the streets near my home, whereby an intense form of air traffic can be heard: enveloping crickets that act like sonic anchors in these warm evening drifts. How far can this sensation of aural familiarity go? I don't know. Temporal ellipses break the fluid continuity of set everyday scene(s): altering one's point of listening, inverting the traditional roles imposed by a natural hierarchy. I position myself as a listening-observer of said micro-cosmos, possibly waiting for a moment where a breach allows me to navigate in-between.

Lílian Nakahodo (Piracicaba, 1980) is a musician (pianist, composer, producer), sound designer and independent researcher. Undertook a masters' degree in music (theory, artistic creation, and aesthetics) at UFPR (2014). Since then, her research and creative output have focused on the thematic of sonic cartography.
