'Occe Anna Tlant' (2014 )

'Occe Anna Tlant' is a sonic fable that was composed of edited/processed field recordings from two Atlantic cities: Rio and NYC. I gave voice to a mixture of textual fragments and brief scenes found in the streets. Archive material – a chant for Iemanjá – and a sonar sound were added. This piece is part of my 'Cut-up Tragedy' series: a nomadic multi process-project started in 2014. It comes from walks in a state of increasing “unruling of the senses,” deep listening, cut-ups, collages, field recordings, and words of a woman occupying spaces in the cities – and beyond them. Sounds that reverberate images and resonate with different times and places.

Leandra Lambert (Rio de Janeiro, 1974) is active in the electronic/experimental music scene since the '90s. She has a Ph.D. in Arts UERJ/Paris 1.Solo album "Lori - Yoni" (Sê-lo! NetLabel, 2018), and appearances in other albums. "Cortina deRuínas" appears on Kassel's Documenta Radio 2017 and won first place in the III Latin American Electro-Acoustic Composition Competition Gustavo Becerra-Schmidt. Live presentations: Varanda Sonora at Parque Lage, CCBB-SP (2019); Novas Frequências Festival, Out of Phase at CCSP (2016); Circo Voador, Espaço das Américas, etc. Participation in exhibitions, concerts and broadcasts in Brazil, England, USA, France, Chile, Cuba, Norway and Russia. Solo exhibitions in 2013 and 2016.
