This collection features six works that have remained hidden from the public for decades. Composed between 1963 and 1986, they are representative of a rich period of experimentation in the recent history of Brazilian music. Although their composers are among the most recognized names in our musical production, these six compositions are proof that we have become accustomed to oblivion: they tell us about aesthetic clashes, about technological issues, about the political forces of a period of more than two decades. They help to build the threads of a fabric that is often overshadowed by a history of music that has been more interested in what comes from outside than in the rich and surprising Brazilian production.
